GR5 titanium wire is a metal wire made of titanium alloy, mainly composed of titanium, aluminum, and vanadium. The chemical composition of GR5 titanium alloy is approximately 6% aluminum (Al) and 4% vanadium (V), with the remainder being pure titanium (Ti).
Main characteristics:
1.Mechanical properties: GR5 titanium alloy has high strength and excellent tensile strength. The tensile strength is usually above 925 MPa (135 ksi), the yield strength is above 870 MPa (127 ksi), and the elongation is usually above 10%.
2. Corrosion resistance: GR5 titanium alloy exhibits excellent performance in various media, especially in neutral and oxidizing media, with strong corrosion resistance. It has good corrosion resistance to most alkaline solutions, organic acids, and chloride solutions, but is not suitable for boiling sodium hydroxide solutions.
3. High temperature stability: GR5 titanium alloy can work for a long time at temperatures of 400 ℃ or higher, and has good high-temperature performance.
4. Machinability: GR5 titanium alloy has good machinability and is suitable for various processing techniques such as forging, milling, turning, and welding.
