1)Raw material selection
The main raw materials for producing niobium rods are niobium powder and some small amounts of other metals such as cobalt, iron, etc. Niobium powder is produced with the highest possible purity, so the quality of the cut niobium rod will also be better. In addition, the content of metal doping can also affect the quality of niobium rods. Therefore, in the process of selecting raw materials, special attention should be paid to establishing strict standards and ensuring quality control to ensure the quality of the finished product.

2) Smelting
Under specific heating conditions, niobium powder is melted and transformed into liquid niobium. This process requires the use of most Inert gases as a protective atmosphere to prevent oxidation and purity degradation. During the melting process, some other metal materials will also be added to determine the predetermined element content. Throughout the entire melting process, specialized operators are also required to ensure the smooth progress of the production process.

3) Cooling down
After a certain period of heating, niobium liquid will cool and solidify at the corresponding temperature. Place the cooled and solidified niobium ingot into the furnace and heat it again until the niobium liquid melts again. Repeat this operation multiple times to improve the purity of the niobium rod and achieve the properties of the target material.

4)Cutting
After cooling, the niobium ingot will transform into a large solid and then be cut into rod-shaped materials of appropriate length using pliers. This process requires high precision of the cutting machine and proficiency of the operators, and corresponding protective equipment must be equipped to ensure the safety of the operators.

5) Repair and maintenance
After cutting the niobium rod, some small defects may appear, such as surface scratches, bubbles, etc., which will affect the quality of the niobium rod. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out repairs to remove these defects, make the surface of the niobium rod smooth and even, and achieve optimal performance.
